Job responsibilities include the implementation of treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Plans often address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs and social skill needs. As an ABA Technician/RBT you will monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary. The ABA technician/RBT position is a part time position, working in the home or in the community. After-school, weekend, in-home, and clinic-based hours are available.

sm-bullet  An interest in developing skills related to applied behavior analysis, function-based assessment and treatment of problem behavior, data-driven programming, research-supported approaches to skill acquisition, and behavioral research
sm-bullet  Ability to assist individuals with personal care tasks, including toileting routines, with sensitivity and age- and skill-appropriate privacy
sm-bullet  Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written mediums
sm-bullet  Ability to maintain a neutral affect and professional composure in the midst of chaotic situations

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for Licensed BCBA’s to join our multidisciplinary team in providing services for children, adolescents and young adults with ASD, behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities under contracts with the Hawaii Department of Education, Early Intervention Services (0-3), Developmental Disabilities Division, and private insurance companies throughout the State of Hawaii.

sm-bullet  Able to conduct assessments, to include an FBA, and write sound treatment plan.
sm-bullet  Able to identify barriers to discharge during initial assessment and ongoing interactions with the client and family.
sm-bullet  Professional and good work ethic leading to timely completion of paper work to ensure seamless support to our clients.
sm-bullet  Strong ability to be creative in thinking of appropriate interventions to fit individual needs and cultural parameters.

Our team of dedicated staff lives our mission of improving the health status of the children and families of Hawaii by demonstrating EXCELLENCE in the delivery of all of our services.

CAMHD Paraprofessionals provide intensive support to youth and caregivers for the purpose of avoiding placement in a residential or inpatient treatment setting. This service includes intervention services, such as one-to-one skills training, supportive counseling, and positive behavioral support, coaching, and modeling. The CAMHD Paraprofessional will work under the close guidance of the youth’s assigned Intensive In-Home Therapist as well as follow specific goals and objectives listed in the youth’s mental health treatment place. Services take place in the home and in the community, often working with youth of psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, family situations, or any other mental health issues that might be affecting the child’s ability to function successfully in home, education, and community settings.

*This is a part-time position. Hours are after-school, evenings, and weekends and can go up to 20 hours per week.

**All applicants must be willing/able to become CAMHD credentialed.

Personal Habilitation Workers (PAB) provide one on one assistance to individuals of all ages with special needs in their homes and/or in the community. PAB workers help these individuals to acquire, retain and improve skills that allow them to be more self-sufficient, engage in opportunities which identify and expand personal interests, and build skills in self-advocacy. In order to meet outcomes/goals set forth in individualized plans, these individuals often need assistance with activities of daily living, social and leisure skill development, building relationships and exploring natural supports, as well as expanding volunteer/employment opportunities.
